Co-owned by two directors, TechMed remains a family run business with over 35 years of related trade experience. With offices in North London and Hertfordshire (near Stevenage), we provide services and supplies throughout and beyond London and the ‘Home Counties’.

TechMed Services Ltd

TechMed Services Ltd was formed from two family run companies, Classic Mobility and Direct Mobility Hire. It specialises in installing, servicing and maintaining: Moving and Handling (ceiling track hoists, bath hoists, Gantry systems, L.O.L.E.R inspections and certification), Assisted Bathing facilites (bath hoists, walk in baths and changing couches), Pressure Care (dynamic mattresses and cushions) and Minor Adaptations (temporary and permanent ramping, bathroom conversions, external and internal handrails, door entry and intercom systems and key safes).

Direct Mobility Hire

Direct Mobility Hire specialises in the short term hire of mobility equipment in London and the Home counties. Items available to hire includes; mobility scooters, power chairs, wheelchairs, walking aids, profiling care beds, dynamic seating, commodes, hoists and more. Delivery and collection is usually within 24 hours and equipment is assembled or dismantled as required by our trained technicians. Short term hire can be provided on a weekly, 4 weekly or 6 weekly basis. Long term rental can be available from one to three years

I hired a folding electric wheelchair for a week, and it was brilliant. Great little chair, really reasonable hire prices, and excellent staff. Lauren is fabulous, friendly and helpful. Will definitely return to upgrade my current chair.

I hired a mobility scooter whilst down in Hertford visiting family from CM. This fantastic service enabled me and my family to explore part's of the area I would not have been able to before. I look forward to using this service again and for longer.
The staff were brilliant aswell, explaining the functions of the scooter clearly to me.

6weeks ago I contacted CM, in desperate need of a wheelchair for my father who was non mobile following a very quick decline in his illness, it was answered by an extremely helpful and understanding young man, he told me if I arrived at CM the following morning at 8.30am I could pick up a wheelchair for my father. (As it was no longer considered suitable for hire) .but for my father it was a lifeline.
I was eternally thankful for his act of kindness and I have repeated this to so many people. As an example of goodwill and kindness.
My father sadly passed away last week and so I have since returned it to CM, where I understand they are now donating it to Isabel hospice, another very kind gesture.
I met another member of their staff when returning and she was also very helpful.
I cannot recommend this business enough.

Helpful, knowledgeable staff. Good range of equipment. Small niggle: if you are selling disability equipment there should be a slope on to the road.

Their friendly team were really supportive when I went into their Hertford showroom to enquire about mobility aids for myself. Being in my 30's I was conscious that I may be younger than their usual customer but they couldn't have been more accommodating or knowledgeable. Thank you.
